What is an adaptogen?
An adaptogen is a nontoxic substance and especially a plant extract that is held to increase the body's ability to resist the damaging effects of stress and promote or restore normal physiological functioning. [Merriam- Webster]
During this retreat we will explore some of the locally available mushrooms that are revered for their ability to heal and support our physical bodies. We will sustainably wildcraft some of these mushrooms (Chaga, Reishi and Turkey Tail) and prepare a few as double tinctures that you can take home to consume throughout the year. We may get lucky and find some delicious edibles in the process. There will be plenty of forest bathing, some waterfall swimming and awareness practices too.
$450 per person (discount if you attend the Plant Medicines of Maine retreat also!)
